كيف تم بناء برج خليفة
قد وصلت تكلفة البرج حوالي 6 مليارات درهم وهو ما يقارب 1.5 مليار دولار ، وكانت بداية العمل في إنشائه في يناير عام 2004، وقد تم افتتاحه في 4 يناير 2010، وقد اخذ في الاعتبار في التصميم ان يكون مشابه لزهرة صحراوية محلية وتعرف باسم زهرة زنبق العنكبوت. كما تم ايضاً بالتصميم الطويل ان يكون مشابه بالمآذن المرتفعة، وتم بناء البرج من 330 ألف متر مكعب من الخرسانة ، وما يقرب من 39 طناً متر من الحديد الصلب، واستخدم به 26 ألف لوح زجاجي كطغتية لوجهة البرج. وقد عمل بالبرج الكثير من العمال وصلوا لجوالي 12 ألف عامل، وباشراف 300 مهندس متخصص وافدين من 120 دولة في العالم، واستمر انشاء البرج ما يقرب من 22 مليون ساعة عمل. ووصلت مساحة السكن داخل البرج نحو 171 ألف متر مربع، في حين وصلت مساحة المكاتب العمل به حوالي 278 ألف متر مربع .
